The Kobra guide should help you decide whether the next move belongs in the printer, material, or slicer. Start with a known profile and a repeatable test. If the problem appears immediately at the bed, use the first-layer path. If material delivery is thin or intermittent, use the extrusion path. If the issue is mostly travel strings or displaced geometry, do not keep changing first-layer settings.

Read the failure before changing the profile

When a profile has been edited repeatedly, comparing against a clean slicer baseline can be faster than trying to remember every changed value. Once the baseline behaves predictably, add your preferred speed, support, or quality changes back one group at a time.

Use one-change testing: save the current working profile, change one relevant variable, print a small test that reproduces the symptom, and compare the same area. If the symptom does not respond in the expected direction, restore the previous value instead of stacking another unrelated change on top.
