Clog and Under-Extrusion Checklist
A printable workflow for missing lines, clicking extruder, partial clogs, weak top layers, and intermittent flow.
Confirm the symptom
- Look for missing lines or gaps.
- Listen for extruder clicking/grinding.
- Check whether the issue happens at the same height or randomly.
- Try a manual extrusion test at normal temperature.

Flow path checks
- Check spool movement and filament drag.
- Inspect extruder gears for debris.
- Check nozzle temperature is correct for material.
- Try a cold pull or nozzle cleaning workflow.
- Replace nozzle if cleaning does not restore flow.
Notes:
After correction
- Print a small flow test.
- Record maintenance notes in Profile Vault.
- Run Filament Advisor if symptoms return with one spool.
- Use AI Doctor if heat creep or recurring clogs continue.
