Support and Cleanup Checklist
A printable workflow for support scars, fused supports, rough undersides, failed supports, and miniature/detail cleanup.
Before slicing
- Rotate the model before adding supports.
- Preview where support contacts the visible surface.
- Prefer supports on hidden or less important faces.
- Use small test sections for difficult models.
Notes:
Support tuning
- Check support Z distance/contact distance.
- Use interface only when it improves the surface.
- Reduce support density if supports are fusing.
- Tune temperature if contact areas look melted.
- Choose tree/organic supports where appropriate.
Notes:
Cleanup workflow
- Let the part cool before removal.
- Use appropriate flush cutters/tools carefully.
- Sand or finish only after checking details.
- Save successful support settings to Profile Vault.
