Supports Printable

Support and Cleanup Checklist

A printable workflow for support scars, fused supports, rough undersides, failed supports, and miniature/detail cleanup.

Before slicing

  • Rotate the model before adding supports.
  • Preview where support contacts the visible surface.
  • Prefer supports on hidden or less important faces.
  • Use small test sections for difficult models.
Notes:

Support tuning

  • Check support Z distance/contact distance.
  • Use interface only when it improves the surface.
  • Reduce support density if supports are fusing.
  • Tune temperature if contact areas look melted.
  • Choose tree/organic supports where appropriate.
Notes:

Cleanup workflow

  • Let the part cool before removal.
  • Use appropriate flush cutters/tools carefully.
  • Sand or finish only after checking details.
  • Save successful support settings to Profile Vault.
