Treat the Prusa MK4 guide as a decision tree rather than a universal profile. If the failure begins on layer one, stay with first-layer checks until the bed contact is repeatable. If the first layer is healthy but the part becomes weak or incomplete, move to extrusion. If shape position changes suddenly, use the layer-shift path. Read the failure before changing the profile

A useful baseline is a small, repeatable test printed from a known profile. Change one setting or one physical condition at a time and compare the same region of the test. This makes it easier to tell whether the machine improved or whether one symptom was simply traded for another.

Use one-change testing: save the current working profile, change one relevant variable, print a small test that reproduces the symptom, and compare the same area. If the symptom does not respond in the expected direction, restore the previous value instead of stacking another unrelated change on top.
