Color Change and Purge Problems

Document the failure and confirm that it matches this guide: New color mixes with the old, the restart is weak, or a blob forms at the change.

Return extreme overrides to a known printer, nozzle, material, and slicer profile so the diagnosis starts from a stable baseline.

Check insufficient purge. Purge until color is stable.

Check restart pressure not restored. Restore pressure with a prime line.

Inspect temperature mismatch. Use compatible temperatures.

Rule out change location poorly chosen. Place the change at an intentional layer.

Change only the single setting or hardware condition supported by the evidence, then run a small test that reproduces the original failure.

Compare the test against the target condition, record the successful value, and save it in a printer/material profile before repeating the full print.
