STRINGING DIAGNOSTIC
DRY. COOL. TRAVEL. THEN RETRACT.
Stringing is not always a retraction problem. Use this order to avoid creating clogs, grinding and slow print times.

STRINGING DECISION ORDER
Retraction is not the first answer to every string.
Popping, sizzling or rough extrusion
Confirm moisture first. Wet filament can create hairs, blobs and inconsistent surfaces that retraction tuning cannot solve.
Dry material but heavy ooze
Test nozzle temperature in small steps inside the material maker's safe range before changing several travel variables.
Only travel moves leave hairs
After moisture and temperature are credible, review travel behavior and then make small retraction changes appropriate to the extruder path.
