KNOWN-ISSUE WATCH

Recognize recurring printer-family problems faster.

These alerts summarize recurring failure patterns and the safest first checks. They are not recalls, and they do not replace official manufacturer notices.

mediumactive

AMS or multi-material feed interruption

What it looks like: Load/unload loops, filament stops before the toolhead, or repeated retry messages.

Check first

  • Inspect spool drag and filament path
  • Check PTFE couplers and buffer movement
  • Test the same filament without the feeder
highactive

Probe or Z-offset drift after maintenance

What it looks like: First layer suddenly becomes too high or too low after nozzle, hotend or bed work.

Check first

  • Re-home and rebuild the mesh
  • Verify probe mount and nozzle length
  • Set Z offset only after the machine is fully heated
highactive

Dual-Z or gantry synchronization error

What it looks like: One side of the first layer differs from the other or the gantry appears twisted.

Check first

  • Power off and mechanically level the gantry
  • Inspect both lead screws and couplers
  • Rebuild mesh after synchronization
mediumactive

Live-Z value no longer matches the sheet

What it looks like: A previously good first layer fails after changing build sheets or nozzle hardware.

Check first

  • Use the correct sheet profile
  • Repeat first-layer calibration
  • Inspect nozzle seating and probe height
mediumactive

Mesh compensation appears uneven

What it looks like: Some bed regions adhere while others remain too high or too low.

Check first

  • Inspect bed and carriage play
  • Heat soak before mesh creation
  • Confirm the mesh is enabled in the active profile
highactive

Dual-Z sides lose alignment

What it looks like: Gantry tilt, inconsistent layer height or one side of the bed prints differently.

Check first

  • Synchronize both Z sides
  • Inspect anti-backlash parts and couplers
  • Check frame squareness
highactive

Chamber temperature causes softening or heat creep

What it looks like: PLA jams or extrusion becomes inconsistent during enclosed printing.

Check first

  • Open or vent the chamber for PLA
  • Inspect hotend cooling airflow
  • Reduce ambient heat before changing flow
highactive

Repeated release-film separation failure

What it looks like: Supports remain on the plate while the model or layers stick to the vat film.

Check first

  • Inspect release film tension and clouding
  • Increase support contact appropriately
  • Verify lift distance, speed and exposure
